Indie Wines Win 71 Medals

(from left to right) Winemakers David Akiyoshi, Dave Harvey, Yian Lu, Camille Benitah

The results from the 2019 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition are in… and you stuck it to the man!

71 Angel-funded wines took home medals. These indie wines smoked the competition — and beat the BIGGEST names (like Apothic and Ménage à Trois!)

You stunned a huge critics panel — and the world — by medaling higher than the most popular wines in the country. It was an epic battle and you crushed it!

Fun Fact: Historically, wines like Apothic have been untouchable — they’re owned by big wine conglomerates who know how to work the market and dominate store shelves. But you just proved that indie winemakers can win in the big leagues, too…

Let’s raise a glass to all YOUR champion wines!
