Behind the Wine

Thank you from the world’s most grateful winemakers

I am so grateful for you — we all are

Instead of filling your inbox with zany holiday offers (don’t worry, those are coming, too), I wanted to show you how much your incredible support means to everyone here in the Naked family — including 130 winemakers (and counting).

The whole Naked team will be sharing what they’re thankful for, too — it’s become one of our favorite office traditions. We hope you’ll join us in the comments of this blog post!

From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.

Please share what you’re thankful for in the comments section below!

There is so much to be thankful for this year!

– My wonderful & supportive family, both blood & chosen.
– The amazing, dedicated team I work with at Naked HQ that I am lucky enough to also call friends.
– The delicious wine that I have the opportunity to try made by our talented and hardworking winemakers which constantly inspire me to step out of the box and try something new (be it a recipe to pair with the wine or an education to further my wine knowledge).
– Our Angels, so many of whom who have also become my friends. Not only do they support independent winemakers so that we all have delicious wines to enjoy, but they support each other and lift one another up in our online community!

I’m grateful for belly laughs here at Naked HQ. I spend a good part of every day perfecting them, because I work with some downright hilarious and brilliant folks. Caring, too. Everyone here is just as passionate about sharing good wine as they are about being damn good people. Thanks, Angels, for making this community possible… your reach goes far beyond winemakers. It goes straight to me… and there’s not a day that I don’t thank you for giving me my dream job, too. Cheers.

I’m incredibly thankful for my family and friends, for the opportunities this year has given me, and for our winemakers, my coworkers, and the Angels who make this whole thing possible. Looking forward to spending time with loved ones (and a couple days off!) this weekend and what’s to come in the months ahead.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone 🙂

It’s very exciting to pick out wines and within days, they’re at your door!! The variety is good, wines are always quite enjoyable and the prices for the quality is superb!
Thank you Naked Wines for helping to enjoy life with friends!

Big kudo’s to all the winemakers & Naked Wines. As a poet/writer of fiction it has been a rush to enjoy your favorable wines. You have made my brain process to write poetry & fiction easier, more exciting!

Wow! Nice video clips from some of the talented, and very real people who make the great wine we did k and enjoy so much! I got a little choked up…not because of Alex’s shoulder, or Ken’s beautiful family, not because of Shula’s warm, sincere thoughts…but what really touched my heart is the realization that all of these wonderful and talented people are REAL, and we Angels are helping them do what they love, and live better Iives! It made be proud to be an American! And I haven’t felt that pride much lately. Happy Thanksgiving to you all, and here’s a toast to the coming days, and years..may they all be filled with success and Sunshine!! Cheers!!!

THANK YOU to all our winemakers who have worked so hard to make us happy. The wines have gotten so much better since I joined in 2012 and your selections have broadened our knowledge and educated our taste buds.

Rock on winemakers! You are the best!

Best wishes for the new season and keep the shiny side up.

I LOVE being part of Naked wines, having been in the business (in Italy), I feel quite close to the wine makers that Naked Wines supports, and I understand their trials and tribulations, it is a difficult business and the market is hard to break into. I LOVE knowing who produces the wines I drink and being able to discuss them, read about them and feel part of a “family” of wine appreciating people. This is a fun happy company to be part of and I am pleased to be an angel. Thanks Naked! Christy

Well done winemakers! I’m thankful to finally have found a wine venue (I am reluctant to call it a club since Naked Wines is like no other) that really cares about its members (the angels) and the winemakers! Keep up the good work – and we’ll keep the support coming! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I am so thankful for wine and winemakers, and the means to be able to support both!
Wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving with your loved ones.

Wow, that was so wonderful to see the thankfulness expressed by some of my favorite winemakers. Jen had me laughing and I got a little choked up by some of the others. I just love that “new baby smell” that came through the screen or was it my memories. Jerry DeYoung said it so much better than I could and the same sentiments are echoed by me.

I am thankful that I joined such a giving bunch of people who truly love what they are doing. I’m thankful that the wines I share are made with such devotion. I’m sharing 4 bottles of Naked wine at our Thanksgiving dinner and untold number of wines at Christmas parties to come!!

I’ll be toasting all you dedicated winemakers with your great wines. You have added so much to my enjoyment and knowledge of wine through the years. Cheers!!

Thank you winemakers. I have been so happy and pleased with all the wonderful wines that I have been receiving from Naked Wines. I am so thankful that I found you guys and feel blessed that I am able to help you succeed in your endeavors. It is just another example of how many people coming together doing their small part can support those that need the help. Thank you again, and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I am thankful for life itself and this country with at most value….. Love Tradition and Sport.. The task in manage of vulnerability, success is all that matters and intrigue is you very own guess…. I am again thankful and far best supportive… Where dreams come true…..

The latter half of 2016 has been quite challenging for me. So I am particularly thankful this year for my family; Ryan, Nicole, Jason, Anne, and all the wonderful staff, the winemakers, and fellow Angels and Archangels who, whether they know it or not, have supported me and inspired me to make the most of each day. It is through these friendships – in person or virtual – that I can truly express gratitude and thanks this year. Thank you all, and cheers!

I am thankful for family, friends, and that we will be able to share a Thanksgiving meal together, despite our political differences.

I am grateful because I am 61 years old within days and I continue to be fascinated by humanity. I have enjoyed all my interactions with staff. And I have been around for a while and have experienced challenges. All in all, I am able to avow, that I have enjoyed my relationship with ya’ll. Thanks for being one of the many things that I am grateful for. Happy Thanksgiving to all ya’ll☺

I am so Thankful for my Family and that regardless of the challenges we have been faced with, we always come together as a Winning Team.
I am so Thankful for the Physicians I have who have restored, and are restoring, my eyesight. The world is a beautiful thing to see. I will never, ever take it for granted.
I am so Thankful for our little dog Pippin, who was a rescue. He was abused early on and learned how not to trust males. It took him a couple of years to trust me, but now, when he crawls up on my chest when I am laying down and curls up in a little ball, all calm and secure, I am Thankful.
I am so Thankful that I responded to that voucher my wife handed to me which led me to my new Naked Wines Family. What we have here is so special and unique. Winemakers, Staff, AA’s, Angels, and AIW’s, you are all awesome.
And finally, I am so Thankful for every day I am Vertical.
So to everyone, your Families, Friends, and Pets, I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.

“14 You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth and wine to gladden the heart of man, oil to make his face shine and bread to strengthen man’s heart.” (Psalm 104:14-15)..and “Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.” (Isaiah 55:1)

As a pastor (a cheap Presbyterian) I am thankful that the Lord gave us wine to enjoy and that He used all these wonderful wine makers to bring it to our tables for Thanksgiving or any other day we celebrate in joy. I am thankful, obviously, for my family and friends and for life itself. One day at a time with gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving y’all from GA!

I am thankful for my immediate family: a good husband and two wonderful children. I am thankful for my extended family; especially for the fact that I still have my parents with me. I am thankful for good friends, Good neighbors, and a good life! Thank you, Naked Wines, for having made many gatherings and occasions in 2016 very tasty and delightful!

Thanks to all the hard-working growers and vintners who make our Naked Family wine!
Your wines are a large part of our wine enjoyment and we feel honored to be a part of developing new labels and vintages!
Happy Holidays and a great new 2017 around the corner!
P.S. – We love putting faces to the names on our wine! Keep up the videos, please?

Thanks to all at naked wines I will support you guys as long as my wife drinks wine and the you guys are small business owner whom I will support over time thanks to all and have a good day.

I’m thankful for the wonderful winemakers and the stellar wines they produce for Naked. My only Christmas wish is for Naked Wines to be able to ship to Ohio once again!

We will enjoy family and friends with a glass of wine from Naked Wine winemakers, and prayers and thanksgiving around the dinner table.

I’m thankful to naked wines and the growing family who lovingly grow grapes, produce wines and consume this ever fascinating nectar. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Rowan and Holly and all Nakeds:
I am elated because my daughter Julie had successful in-vitro and is pregnant with a boy. She lost her beloved son in 2012 when he was six months old to SIDS(I cry as I write this.) My daughter-in-law Lorna is also pregnant with a girl to join their son of eighteen months. I’m also happy because I had spinal fusion surgery on October 31, and I feel that the pain is easing a bit. And I’m thankful to my wife Patricia who has tended to me in my recovery.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. Jim

It kind of amazes me when I hear all of the winemakers saying thank you to all of us. They are working so hard and adding so much enjoyment to our lives and holiday celebrations that it just seems sort of backwards. So, this year, when I lift my glass in thanksgiving, NW, staff and winemakers will be included and remembered. Thank you, and may God grant you a Very Happy Thanksgiving filled with love, joy and, of course, wine. Blessings to you all.

I’m thankful for Lokelani and her sweet nature and willingness to help a customer with “no wine tastebuds!” I’m thankful for my family and for still being able to work to protect our great nation from those who would attempt to corrupt and harm it. I’m thankful for those who champion inclusion and love of all. Happy Thanksgiving Naked Wines!!

Thankful for these terrific wines, and thankful that Naked Wines and all the wonderful indy wineries will be making me look like a superstar at Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Everyone is loving these wines, and it’s a treat to be an angel!

The video is a super classy way to show thanks. Well done!

Blessings to all of the Naked Wines family!

I love this video! Actually seeing and hearing the wine makers makes being an angel real. I am happy to be a part of this special group!

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

I’m thankful for all the wonderful varieties of grapes and for the people who know how to turn them into great wines.

I’m thankful for God, my family, my health, and my friends. But since I’m posting here, I wanted to say why I am thankful for being a part of in the small way I can be.

The Naked Wines family is the best in the industry (and I may be a bit biased here). From phenomenal winemakers, to an amazing staff and customer happiness team, this company knows how to deliver! Having the privilege of being an Arch Angel for the past (OMG is it 4 years now? Mr. Puglisi will let me know if I’m off by a year)…has been a real joy and pleasure. I have tried so many new varietals, created a ton of reviews, and most importantly, with the social aspect of the site, have formed many interesting friendships. It’s not a normal thing (IMHO) to be able to just connect with your favorite winemakers and chat – except at THIS company. So, cheers to all of you, for another great year, and to many more!

Bas vers le haut!

P.S. The TN BBQ Rocks – glad I was able to make it this year!

I am thankful for all my family and friends. Also for having found NakedWines. I had to take a few months off due to moving but look forward to 2017 and resuming the search for the perfect bottle of wine. Not to say I have not had many great wines from the Winemakers but one must continue to search.

I am first thankful for God and what He has done for me and my family. I am next thankful for my family, my beautiful wife and my five children, one of whom is a priest, and my six grandchildren and one great-grandson. I am grateful to have survived an amazing working career of 60 years which included working on the Flight Support Team for the Apollo Program in Houston and ended in support of the National Counter Terrorism Center, and the privilege of enjoying retirement more than I ever thought I would. I am thankful for my extended family, for my friends and for the privilege of being an Angel for Naked Wines. I have been able to enjoy and share fabulous wines and the joy and companionship they support. The joy of discovering new wines and new winemakers is a genuine pleasure and one shared with both friends and relatives.

I just want to wish all the winemakers a Happy Thanksgiving. You have all given us (me!) some of the best tasting wines I have had in my life (and that’s a lot of wine as I’ll be 70 in less than 2 months). So one of the things I am grateful for Naked Wines and their family of winemakers.

Thankful for you guys!!!

Thankful for my parents being here (PA) with us for Thanksgiving – from Scotland!

Thankful that my babies, both of whom were high risk pregnancies & slim chances of healthy babes, are thriving & joyful! Elias is 3 in 3wks, Evie Rose is 1 in 1wk.

Thankful for my husband who humours my Naked Wine addition…

Happy Thanksgiving guys!

Thank you winemakers for your enthusiasm and great wines. I am grateful to have found Naked Wines all those years ago. Customer service is incredible, choices of wines are great Above all the wines are tremendous. I am putting 3 1/2 to 5 stars on every wine I have tried – I have yet to taste a wine that isn’t excellent. I am pleased to bemember of such an organization. Thank you winemakers!!

I am thankful for my family and friends and the good health we all have. I am thankful for the chance I get to share my good wines from Naked Wines with all of them. Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for the many blessings and the harmony in my life, for having a loving husband and a wonderful relationship with my mother. And I am very grateful for having Reiki in my life which has helped me grow spiritually, increasing my awareness of all I have to be thankful for.

I’m thankful for family, especially my wife of 45 years, also thankful for the Naked Wines family and allowing me to try so many different wines. Hope all have a very happy Thanksgiving.

I am thankful for God’s spirit that lives in my heart. I am thankful for rainbows and stars that shine, for toasted nuts and vintage WINE!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of Angels Winemakers.

I’m thankful for a family that is so full of love. Five years ago they helped me land on my feet after my world fell apart and since then they have lifted me up and helped me become whole again. I’m thankful for parents who loved unconditionally from my first day until their last and grateful that their days lasted nearly a century each. I’m grateful that they gave me a love of good food and good wine. I’m thankful for the companionship of a really sweet dog and good friends.

I’m also thankful that I discovered NW and am enjoying the connections I feel with other angels as well as the winemakers we help support. It’s a good thing.

In vino veritas…Salut!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the winemakers and to Naked Wines! I saw a couple of my favorites in the video (Deis,Miller). Glad to be an Angel for you and keep those great wines coming.

I am grateful for a good job and strong wonderful family! I am also grateful my nieces have grown up to be such wonderful teenagers that just seem to amaze me ho adult the can be!!

I am thankful that there are interesting, generous, high energy people in the world making it a better place. And for laughter because without that where would we be?!

I’ve been a member of several different wine clubs and am very thankful my sister Mary introduced me to NakedWines. The quality of the wines at very reasonable prices is unmatched, and we are assisting new wine makers to make their dreams come true.

When I was a sales rep. for a wholesaler – way back in the once upon’a times – we were frequently offered excellent wine at bargain prices. This was very good for me and my firm, because it meant that my retail customers could supply a quality product at a better than average price. They bought the wine from me, and I got the commission.

The downside of that: those deals were at the expense of winemakers and vineyard owners who were forced to sell below market to meet expenses or generate cash flow. The best deals for the consumer all too often meant utter ruin for the winery.

The Naked Wines crowd sourcing arrangement means that talented winemakers can afford to exercise their talents without flirting with bankruptcy, and I am thankful for the chance to be a part of it. (written while still full of left over turkey!)
